Nike Blazer Mid '77 DB Doernbecher 2022 Mens

The Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 “Doernbecher 2022” is a special colorway of the vintage basketball and lifestyle shoe designed by Ayman Wamala for Nike’s “Doernbecher” collection. The Doernbecher series by Nike and the children’s hospital of the same name located in Portland, Oregon, releases annually and provides patients an opportunity to design colorways of their favorite Nike shoes. The Blazer Mid ‘77 seen here is inspired by Ayman’s mind-reading alter ego, and is awash with motivational slogans. The shoe’s upper features a black leather construction with a grid-like pattern throughout. An iridescent Swoosh appears on either side of the shoe. An old school, graffiti-style “Nike” logo appears on the heel of the left shoe, and a number “7” is found on the heel of the right shoe. The “7” branding is a nod to Ayman’s soccer jersey number. The phrase, “Life is uncertain… make fast decisions in tough situations” is printed in purple lettering along the lateral side of the black vulcanized rubber sole.
