The Nike Air Max 1 ‘86 “Air Max Day - Royal” is a colorway of the retro performance running shoe modeled after the 1986 version of the model. The Air Max 1 ‘86 is based on the first iteration of the Air Max 1 that was in production in 1986 before the model debuted in 1987 with a slightly smaller visible Air unit. This “Air Max Day - Royal” edition was released as part of Nike’s Air Max Day event in 2024. The upper features a white mesh base and Natural Grey overlays. A Royal Swoosh appears on the sides. More Royal accenting appears on the “Nike Air” branding on the heel, on the “3.26” detailing on the tongue, on the mudguard, and on the top eyelets. The Air Max 1 ‘86 features a larger Air unit in the heel of the midsole that mimics the version of the shoe from ‘86.
