The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Thank You Plastic Bag” honors an overlooked-yet-intrinsic part of New York City culture: the unassuming plastic bag printed with a "Thank You" graphic. Given out at nearly every corner store in all five of its boroughs, the New York City “Thank You” bag is as common a sight as pigeons. Applying the cheeky theme to the Air Force 1, the adopted sneaker of NYC, hits the sweet spot of irony. The look of the “Thank You Plastic Bag” mimics the iconic “White-on-White” colorway as white tumbled leather can be found on the perforated toe and the mid-panel, collar, and heel.
