New Balance 550 Aime Leon Dore - Purple Mens

The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550 “Purple” is yet another neutral color on the retro basketball shoe designed by Teddy Santis and his popular New York based clothing brand. The 550 model was brought back by Aimé Leon Dore in 2020 when Santis rediscovered the shoe while combing through New Balance’s archives for design inspiration. On the “Purple” colorway, details include a cream perforated leather construction with contrasting dark purple “N” branding on either side of the shoe. Purple “550” branding appears on the forefoot and dual “Aimé Leon Dore” and “New Balance” branding is located on the heel of the left and right shoe, respectively. Additional purple accenting comes into play on the leather overlay on the collar and the trim on the sides near the midsole A thick, vintage-inspired cream rubber midsole completes the look.
