The Unheard Of x adidas Rivalry Lo "Mom’s Ugly Couch" is a collaboration by the Cincinnati, Ohio based retailer and adidas on a colorway of the retro basketball shoe with an interesting backstory. The colorway is inspired by Unheard Of founder and owner Phil Lipschutz’s journey, which started with him sleeping on his grandmother and mother’s couches and has now led to his very own adidas collaboration. As for the design of the shoe, the upper features an embroidered floral motif on the teal canvas base and tongue inspired by the look of vintage couches. The overlays are designed in tan tumbled leather. Contrasting red leather Three Stripes branding appears on the sides. Gold accents are found on the eyelets, lace tips, lace dubrae, and on the branding on the heel. Underfoot, a brown gum sole completes the look.
