The adidas AE1 "New Wave" is a head-turning colorway of basketball star Anthony Edward’s first signature shoe with adidas Basketball. Worn by Edwards during the MInnesota Timberwolves’ media day in October 2023, the adidas AE 1 “New Wave” features an Arctic Fusion-colored TPU “cage” with perforations in a honeycomb pattern that assist in breathability. The black Primegreen base is made of recycled materials. Edwards’ signature branding appears on the woven tongue tag, while adidas Three Stripes branding can be found on the heel.
